Memorial Day is coming up which means it's time to pick those books that you are going to read this summer!
What is a summer read you ask? Well that's a good question! A summer read is simply a book you saved up to read during the summer. Usually it's a light book that you would take with you to the beach or in my case living in Kansas and completely surrounded by land to the pool. It's a throw away book one you've always wanted to read but don't care if it turns out good or not.
For me it's going to be those books that I've wanted to see the movies but refuse to see until I've read the books like:
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine (seen the movie but didn't know there was a book)
Divergent by Veronica Roth (believe I've read the book)
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare (read the book a long time ago need a re-read for movie)
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Host by Stephanie Meyer
Warm Bodies by Issac Marion
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
All of which sound interesting all of which have movies and books out that I am wanting to see. Have you ever made a summer reading list? What qualifies a summer book for you? Are you looking forward to reading any books this summer?
