FanFic Review ~ How to Fall in love by CassiaVioletBlue & Softjeon

Main Pairing: Yoongi and Jungkook

Chapters: 6/6
Word count: 55,039

Author’s Summary: He needed his music and it was a bittersweet passion because it could set him aflame with joy or tear him down alike. But needing a person - you’d always end up with your heart in pieces, he had learnt that. Still, here in the darkness of the room and with no one else watching he allowed himself a moment of pure and utter weakness, reaching out for Jungkook and pulling the younger gently against his own body.

My thoughts:
Wow this one surprised me. It hit on some major issues that I didn't think fanfiction would go to. Such as abusive relationships, self-esteem, rape or close to, toxic relationships and eventually dealing with the fall out from that. Jungkook moves in to Yoongi's apartment and right away we see the self esteem and self worth come into play with both of them thinking the other deserved more then what they could offer. Yet NEVER COMMUNICATING THIS... unrelated shouting sorry. However, as the story progresses we see how much self-worth and esteem come into play when Jungkook gets himself in a relationship with "the perfect boyfriend" according to everyone except the one that is in the abusive and toxic relationship which made it even harder for him to get out of. Yoongi on the other hand kept telling himself it wasn't his place to interfere with what Jungkook wanted. So back and forth we go until it builds to a head and Jimin has to step up and interfere in such a great loving way that I finally had my satisfying HEA. So worth it to read this story for that HEA and to see how the author handled abuse, toxic relationships, friendships, and communication. I have to say this minus all the negative topics, but honestly because of them, has become one of my favorite fanfictions to read and I so, so, so much enjoyed reading this one.

***I currently subscribe to CassiaVioletBlue on AO3 due to this fic and I have to say BEST INVESTMENT so far. All of their stories have been interesting and blown me out of the water. They have a new one that just came up that I am waiting with baited breath each week for Evergreen seriously go check it out. It is another Jungkook and Yoongi pairing with hybrid themes that I adore.***

Fanfic Review ~ The Prince and the Baby Bird by Linn_Linn

Main Pairing: Jimin and Jungkook (Jikook)

Chapters: 75/75
Words: 210365

Author Summary:
Jimin lives with Jin, and together with Namjoon the three of them use to spend their Saturday nights in Yoongi's kitchen as they are too shy to actually join the parties taking place in the living room.

Jimin wants a boyfriend, a prince, who can take care of him with soft hands and loving words.
Being pinned against the wall by bad boy Jungkook wasn't exactly what he had in mind.
”What’s your name, baby bird?” Kookie asked and leaned back to give the blonde space.
”Jimin” Jimin answered a little out of breath, ”You promised to let me go.”
Kookie laughed quietly and showed his hands, ”I’m not the one keeping you.”
Jimin could feel his cheeks heat up but he refused to let Kookie know, so he ducked his head and hurried back to the kitchen with the lingering feeling of the other’s lips against his neck.

My Thoughts
This was the first story I read from this author. Certainly not the last... This story is a Jikook story line which I am starting to see a theme emerge here in my fanfic reading. Ironically I don’t usually ship these 2 together but for some reason I just can’t help but gravitate towards their pairings. So here I found myself again reading yet another Jikook story line. This one was amazing and sucked me in from the start. I like how the 2 main characters do not get along in the beginning and Jimin is able to tell Jungkook why he doesn’t like him. It was refreshing that even though Jungkook was an ass that Jimin did not immediately forgive him and Jungkook had to earn his trust back. There is something about bad boy Jungkook learning how to humble himself that gets me every time. This author is amazing and writing a story that utterly sucks you end and keeps you trapped. I could feel like I was part of the story, I hurt when Jimin hurt, I cried when one of them did. I was angry when I should be and happy when I shouldn't. This story was so engaging that I read it 75 chapters and all in 2 days. I absolutely love this story.

***I am currently reading one of this author’s works that is still in progress Because His Stars Are In My Dreams and I did read Your heartbeats told me as well and I am wanting to Read He Misses You Even though he is not awake but it feels like it might be a lot of angst so I am saving that for a day I wanna bawl my eyes out.***

Fan Fic Review

Main Pairing: Jin and Yoongi à This is one pairing that I just don’t see a lot of and I have to say it was a pleasant yet weird pairing

Chapters: 6/6
Word count: 43,001

Author Summary: Corporate Relationship Disclosure Form -- Human Resource Coordinator: Jung Hoseok
Section to be completed by Employees Involved:
Names: Min Yoongi, Kim Seokjin
Job Titles: Chief Accountant Supreme, Professional Wet Blanket
Nature of Relationship:Friends with Benefits Sex Enemies
Length of Relationship: 4 minutes
Please Describe Jin's Dick: Shut up Hoseok I see you nasty fucker, you just added this fucking question to the form you didn’t even make sure the font was the same as the original you better hold on to your goddamn cat because I’m coming for you as soon as I’m finished getting- oh fucking hell.

My thoughts:
So I found myself laughing more at this fic then I ever thought possible. It was cute and lovely to see the boys in a situation that I usually don’t. Working in an office and normal. The rare moments of wit that came out of this were spot on for me and I even wanted to write down the parts that made me laugh because it takes a lot now and days to startle a laugh out of me when I am reading yet somehow this fic managed to do just that. I was so tickled that I bookmarked this one to read again in the future. The part that I think surprised me the most with this fic was the pairing Jin and Yoongi a pairing I don’t see very much of and now I am kind of intrigued and yet oddly satisfied that this pairing might work. I did like the fact of the other groupings in the story and how those groupings interacted with each other. All in all, a very cute read and one that I am highly recommending for all to check out. If you only read this for the humor alone you have earned a night of giggling and laughter.

Fan Fiction Review ~ BTS

Main Pairing: Jung Jungkook and Kim Taehyung = Taekook
Author Summary: Jungkook had been raised to one thing, and one thing only: to become the trophy omega to the alpha his parents found most suitable. He was put through countless lessons on how to placate an alphas rut, how to speak at formal events, how to dress himself to draw attention to himself and how to blend in. Mating was a tool used to propel his pack's fortune and raise their status. There was no room for love, or for family.
Then he met an alpha who only wanted to protect him, keep him safe. Show him how love was supposed to feel.
Chapters 28/28
Word count: 95,681
My Thoughts:
So, this story had some hit and miss chapters for me. I overall enjoyed seeing Jungkook as an omega which was a nice change of pace for once. However, he was very fragile and almost too weak for what the story was trying to do. I did enjoy the soulmates aspect and the fact that there was some PTSD involved and to be honest I just loved the way Tae and Kook interact with this. I also really liked how it came together at the end and the whole curse aspect. I was surprised it had so many chapters 28 but I found myself every week looking forward to a new release to see what would happen and how the author would wrap it up. All in all I enjoyed this story and I am following the author for more of their works which says something about it. While there were times I questioned where this story was heading I have to say the author did a nice job wrapping it up in a neat bow for us and I appreciate that because when it started I would have told you this was wrongly tagged and was going to be nothing but high angst. That being said however, it did give me a satisfying ending and I overall don't feel as if I wasted my time.

Fan Fiction Review ~ BTS

FAN FICTION REVIEW

Main Pairing: Namjoon and Yoongi

Author’s Summary: If Yoongi's personal definition of hell is wasting his youth in this stuffy office, then surely paradise must be in Kim Namjoon's pants because there's a gigantic snake in there.

Chapters: 2/2
Word Count: 8,163

My thoughts:
This one was just pure fun and smut on my end I fully admit it. The summary caught my attention and the next thing I knew I was sucked in and drowning in a story that had me shaking my head and thinking OMG I can’t believe that a)I am reading this b) this will be in my history c)I’ve bookmarked it and subscribed in case the author adds more to it and d) I am writing a review about it *drops head on desk* there is no reason behind me even reviewing it literally this is exactly what the summary says it is. It is Yoongi pretending to not like Joon and being mean and snarky until he sees him in the bathroom and decides that he has to have him. But, has moments of insecurity and thinks that Joon doesn’t want him because, after all he’s mean and snarky. Turns out that Yoongi is once again wrong and he grabs Joon literally by the dick and has his way with him in the office and well folks I was a goner. Cause now I want to see more of the relationship aspect and if Joon manages to smooth out some of the roughness of Yoongi or if he will always be that sharp and harsh with him… cause at the end you can already see some of the changes.

***Extra***
Right now this author is working on a Namjoon and Yoongi story that I am in love with called Verified Amateurs [ONLINE NOW] seriously hop over to AO3 and check it out you will not regret it!

Fan Fiction Review ~ BTS story again

FAN FICTION REVIEW

It's that time again for yet another fan fiction review This time I picked the same author from before... my bad but I just can't help it I love their stuff so much!

Main Pairing: Jimin and Jungkook with Tae and Yoongi on the side and a lot of that. Plus we get to see Namjoon and Hobi together which is a pairing I don’t usually see or read about
Chapters: 67/67
Word Count: 130,933
AuthorSummary:
Jimin is a soft and pretty Omega, a dancer for the Seoul Ballet Company, he loves pretty things and pastel colors. So why is he so attracted to the Alpha lead singer of a punk rock band covered in tattoos and piercings who should be the opposite of his type?
My Thoughts:
Wow so I followed this story for a LONG ASS Time and I have to say I was happy with the ending. This is a cute little story about 2 omega life partners (soulmates that don’t bond) Tae and Jimin who find their alphas. The Omegas are very feminine in this story they were lace, dress, heels, makeup etc but they are male. The Alphas in this story are Jungkook and Yoongi who are very alpha male. Tattoos, heavy metal band, red eyes, and possessive as all get out. That being said when they get around their omegas they are the sweetest things (minus the fact of you missing with their partners). This story follows the meeting of the 2 Omegas and Alphas and what that journey is like up to their HEA (Happily Ever After) and it was sweet at moments, sad at others, down right funny in some but all in all I have to say the waiting each week and praying the author would finish this story was worth it. It is a sweet love story between our characters. There are some misunderstandings and miscommunications but all in all they are mature enough to talk it out and handle it like adults which I appreciated. Also this is one of my favorite fan
fiction writers out there. Seriously I will read this author’s work no matter what is posted.

*** Extra***
This is the same author that wrote Cutting the Braid which I happened to review already I believe and that review is here. This author also wrote Rut Bakery if you are looking for a quick Alpha/Beta/Omega Jikook fun little story that was hella cute.

Fanfiction Review ~ Cutting the Braid by PeaceLoveYaoi

Fanfiction Review

Main Pairing: Jungkook (Alpha) and Jimin (Omega) (Jikook)
Author’s Summary: the legends tell us that the fates wove the soul of an Omega into their hair. This is why an Omega’s Hair is sacred and cutting it is the most hallowed and revered act and saved only for life events. Loss of virginity, accepting a mate, or the death of your mate or child.  These acts affect the soul of an Omega. An Omega’s souls is gentler and more fragile than that of Alphas or Betas.

Chapters: 6/6
Word count: 84434

My thoughts:
This story was kind of surprising. I mean it does have Jimin and Jungkook in it as the main story characters and again Jimin is the omega and I won’t say helpless but most omega stories I have read the omegas are gentle, kind and weak. They represent females which I have always found weird but God help it if I can’t help but read these kind of stories. Anywho I digress, Jimin has never ever, ever cut his hair and poof Jungkook magically appears in the tribe to be their new carpenter and wow if he isn’t in love with Jimin (I know this comes across sarcastic but it’s the main pairing so bare with it) Jimin falls in love at first smell and sight with Jungkook and then our story begins. The interesting bits were the letter/journal that Jimin’s mother left him when she past. Jimin has been alone and by himself since 14 and has been the main village seamstress. He reads the journal as a way to connect to his mother and keeps his hair long for the same reason. It is a sweet story of two people/wolves falling in love with each other and keeping it pure. I did love that Jungkook in this story was just as pure and that they were waiting for each other. They followed the rules and they didn’t rush things and for me that was a great ending! I also have to say I enjoyed the ending to see how the 2 of them ended up. Overall this story is cute, soft and full of fluff so I can’t help but say that I enjoyed it. I happen to really like this author and so I was excited to read this one. It also helps that there were only 6 chapters so I was able to read it all in one night.

Extra Thoughts
*** I also read some of their one-shots and I have to say I love this author. Check out Rut Bakery if you are looking for a quick Alpha/Beta/Omega Jikook fun little story that was hella cute. ***

Fanfiction Review ~ If You Wanna Go To Heaven by TrappingLightningBugs

Fanfiction Review

Main Pairing: Jungkook and Jimin
Author Summary: They mark a trade; Jimin's soul for Jeongguk's body, till death does the hunter get dragged down to Hell. Those are the conditions.
Or well, they're supposed to be.

Chapters: 1/1
Word Count: 39,102
My thoughts:
Few things about this story that I loved… Jimin in control and a badass with a capital B. I mean this man is a hunter and loves what he does, hell he even gets off on it. It is rare and I mean rare to find a Jimin fic that has him as a strong capable character that doesn’t need an alpha or one of the other members to take care of him. In this fic, however, not only is he a hunter of demons, he successfully kills them and is known for it. He lives with Yoongi is a witch and Hoseok is an angel. Add in that Jungkook is a naïve demon who is a very young incubi and you have a hell of a mix. This is a Jimin/Jungkook story, and their relationship takes a primary role. There is a lot of smut in this and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. However, what kept me reading this (besides the smut) was the relationship and how Jimin questioned everything from Jungkook’s role, to his life, to his own desires and how he enjoyed killing so much. Jimin did justify his actions of killing demons but Jungkook called him out on the pure pleasure he received from the killings. I also enjoyed how they started out in a contract that Jungkook did not want to end up in a relationship of budding friendship. The storyline itself was very interesting and the author did a fantastic job at portraying the grey lines of demons, angels, right and wrong. The author made you start questioning things as well and if it really is as simple as a black and white, good vs evil situation. I was so sad when the story ended, I immediately jumped on the author’s page to see if there was anything else out there. Turns out there was a sequel that they had started and didn’t finish as of yet (fingers crossed that they do) because the sequel has Jimin and Jungkook continuous storyline but also has more of Yoongi and Hoseok’s story and I am dying to see where they was heading with at witch and an angel. Not to mention they threw in a little Jin and Joon to mix things up and not in the way I anticipated.
If you are for sure looking for a good fanfic that is different from others, I would highly suggest this one.

This has a sequel called: I Would Fall from Grace (Just To Touch Your Face) it has a few more chapters to be finished and I admit that I subscribed to it…

Extra thoughts
*** I also read another quick one-shot from the author called Another Reason to Stan and I have to say I enjoyed that a bit too much as well. This is for sure an author I will be reading the backlist and subscribing for any new stories ***

FanFiction

So have you ever fallen into a fandom and fallen so hard that you just decide to accept your fate whole heart and go for it all? Whelp welcome to my new life. I haven't been reading "real books" for awhile this year due to a lot of reasons main one being my job has increased in stress and workload which doesn't leave a lot of time for investing in new things like a book or book series. So instead I stumbled across this beautiful thing called fan fiction. For those who don't know what it is... basically it is fiction written by fans of a particular show, group, etc. They then turn their favorite ships (pairings) into a story. And when I fell down the BTS rabbit hole I also took on the fanfic rabbit hole and boy did it blow my mind.

1) there are a ton of fantastic writers out there. Like seriously some of these people should write for a living cause DAMN I'd buy their books.
2) Holy cow there is some weird shit in the internet and even worse I didn't know I was into some of the weird shit until I read really good fanfic and now well I have to admit I might be into some weird shit.
3)There is a crap ton of fanfic out there for literally anything you want and I mean you can type in the most obscure thing and poof magically someone has written about it.
4)The best thing about fanfic is you don't have to invest in new characters because you already know them (as well as you can) so you literally just let them take on new stories IT'S SERIOUSLY THE BEST THING EVER
5) they have angst, fluff, sex, sweet moments and hella drama so really there is no reason not to read them.

the only downside is finding good fanfic to invest in, praying that the author actually finishes the story and deciding what you are willing to be into and what you aren't into.

So I decided as I read more and more it might be time to come up with some fanfic that I recommend and sadly since I fell down the BTS rabbit hole I guess I will start with that fanfic and go from there.
I will keep updated links on a page in the header. But for now I will just reviews as I would if they were books because damn some of them are over 100k

Let me know any fanfic suggestions you have because I am always looking for more recommendations. I mainly read on AO3 but I have been hitting up Tumblr for some BTS reactions and other things as well :)
