Today Is:
Day 13: Snape – good guy who did bad or bad guy who did good?
While I do think he had good intentions in the end he was a
good guy who did A LOT of bad. He was almost obsessive with his love of Lily
which then drove him to do some nasty things. Because she excepted Potter he
went to the Dark Lord. Because, the Dark Lord killed her he went back to
Dumbledore. Dumbledore used him and then it just went downhill from there. He
allowed his love for one person to utterly consume him and drown out all the
goodness that could have been in him. Now that being said do I think he had a
fantastic childhood? Imma go with no but he still could have turned it around
and focused on other things. Instead he focused on her to the point he became
bitter and angry. So angry that he treated her son like crap and only stepped
in when he realized his mistake. His end makes it clear that he was clouded
with obsession.
